HCG – How to Begin Phase 3

How to Have a Successful Phase 3

journal KNOW what you are doing 🙂

Questions – I am so scared, I start Phase 3 tomorrow. I’ve done my 3 days without HCG. I’ve been reading and checking out different recipes for this phase.

How do I figure the amount of protein to eat? Someone said just double the amount that I’ve been eating. I want to make sure that I get the correct amount. I know I have to start slowly introducing foods. Is 1500 calories the minimum daily caloric intake or do I start by 1st week: 800, then go to 1000 on the 2nd week, then go to the full amount of calories 1400/1500? How much fruit do I eat per day?

My Answer:

The very first Phase 3 can be intimidating!

My first Phase 3 went very wrong because I got too caught up in wanting to try all the great recipes I saw people making on Phase 3.

On my very first day I added so many different foods that those on Phase 3 had been talking about. Open face tuna sandwich using Ezekiel bread with cheddar cheese, I baked a phase 3 friendly cookie recipe. It has been so long now since that time it is hard to remember what else I slammed my poor body with.

So what I found out the hard way about Phase 3 is this….Don’t slam your system with everything at once even if it says it is P3 friendly.

Doubling the protein is fine, especially if your body type craves protein.

Just go very SLOW with adding back in the starches and sugars. I can not emphasis this enough. Journal as you add so you can pinpoint if there is a food that you are sensitive to at first. Go easy on everything you reintroduce and keep tabs on what you are adding and what activity you are doing..

Think Low Glycemic:

When it comes to fruit (at first), I’d say 2 maybe 3 servings the first day and see how your body responded.
I admit I have never counted calories just what types of food I eat and my activity level. Then I figure out between the two what the outcome will be. As long as you go slow and stick with healthy choices you are on the right track.

And for now be cautious with anything bread or pasta like. Example – If it makes you feel full (bloated) or lethargic.

I say “for now” because I don’t want you to think the foods I say to use caution with is a “never”.

But I can’t stress enough how slow introduction will help lock in your effort so you can keep the new you and enjoy what you choose to eat in the future.

If you feel better with counting calories – go for it. The plan you laid out looks like a pretty good one as long as you keep tabs on what you take in and how your body reacts so you can adjust accordingly

Easy does it – That’s my motto!

Hi… I wanted to share my HCG experience with you and learn in the process. I took the oral drops for 40 days (EZ HCG drops) and honestly I didnt get the expected results. Hence Im a little disappointed. I did lose about 16 pounds and some inches. The weight loss shows but I was hoping to lose atleast 30 pounds in these 40 days. So in that sense it was a let down. Im not sure where I went wrong. I read and reread the original Pounds and Inches but still cant pin point what went wrong. I plan to do a second round after 6 weeks and so if you could detail out the Phase 2 for me, I might lose more weight in second rounds. now coming to my specific questions –
    1. I have read that in subsequent rounds the weight loss in less than round 1. So it is saying that I wont even lose 15 pounds in round 2. If thats the case, I might not even put myself through the grind for 40 days. I know sounds defeatist but I rather not set my hopes too high.
    2. I start my Phase 3 tomorrow and want to know how I could help locking whatever I have managed to lose. I am from India, so wanted to know if in phase 3 I could get back to eating my regular meals minus the oils, starches and sweet?
    3. Again, I want to be sure if I used the right oral drops. I would soon decide whether or not to place the order for round 2. partly it would be dependent on how confident I feel about losing in the next round.

Thanks for your time and help. Swati

      Hi –

I hope this doesn’t sound harsh but as soon as I saw you write that you used “HCG drops” My heart dropped.
If you didn’t use RX hcg as injection or sub-lingual form you really didn’t follow the HCG protocol. Though I do respect that you took the time to read the original manuscript. But it is truly ALL about having REAL HCG in your system when you do the protocol. I know I am so fortunate that when I 1st started the dollar hungry companies weren’t like Parana yet . So when I stared I only had to decide whether it would be sub-lingual or injection (Both mixed with RX HCG).

Good luck to you sweetie and be proud that you worked hard to get the results that you did!

Thanks for your reply Colleen. I do realise that probably the HCG i used was not potent enough. You think in Round 2 if I take RX hcg I would be able to lose more than Round 1? I have another 40 – 50 pounds to lose and I really want to see a different me in the coming new year. I’m from India and most of the companies do not deliver here. Could you suggest which website might deliver in India?

        • colleen says:

I have had another visitor to the website that told me getting HCG in India is really easy. It was the different food we eat in the states that she said wasn’t available. Reliable Pharmacy is in India.maybe check with them . There is a link to the website under my where to order menu at the top. If you have 40-50 then select the 5000 iu if you want to do a 40 day round. I think as soon as you are on real HCG you will feel the difference and experience what everyone is excited about when you get your results and how different you feel etc.

      • Swati says:

Also please suggest a good RX hcg brand.

        • colleen says:

          Hi Swati,

Reliable Pharmacy is my favorite but I have also bought from All day Chemist and it is fine. It is said they are owned by the same company anyway. I like the way I can pay on reliable (easier( There are a few different brands but are really all the same thing.
Hucog, Corion and Norvell ( gosh I hope I spelled all those correctly) are what I have purchased. If one isn’t in stock the site will recommend the one that is. I use to always order 5000iu but for people that want to do the 23 day rounds 2000 iu is a good choice. Whenever you can mix a batch and use it in its entirety without freezing to store it for later is better.

          Colleen 😉

    Hi Colleen,

I am not sure which brands the person is referring to. I have tried to get HCG from local pharmacies but they didnt have it. Maybe either I am going to the wrong pharmacy or asking for the wrong brand. Yes I do agree that following the protocol is slightly tough as we dont get all the food types here in India and our regular ingredients like pulses and cereals are prohibited. trust me during my Phase 2, I survived on apples and boiled chicken with salt and pepper seasoning. Thats it!!! I have never been sure about how to have my veggies with my protein.

Its been 1 week since I started Phase 3 and have already gained inches rather than pounds. thats the most disturbing thing cos after putting myself through those 40 days, it has all started to come back 🙁 The protocol says to start Round 2 only after 6 weeks but considering its was homoepathic and stuff, can I start after 3 weeks?

    Thanks for everything…. Swati

      Hi Swati,
Read my post about cycling and interruptions and see if you think that would fit with what you would prefer to do.I sure wish I could be sure you are doing the protocol with real HCG. Try to add the veggies because since you are so limited during P2 that could be why adding other food back into your plan during P3 is more difficult. Is is possible that once you were on P3 you backed off on your water intake OR since you probably stopped having apples (natural Diuretic) the inches could be water retention?

I’m just trying to cover all the bases so I can help you.

      Colleen

    Hi Colleen,
I am really happy to tell you that I have manged to get to the weight I was at by the end of P2. I guess you are right, since I wasnt consuming veggies during P2, the moment I started P3 it started coming back. But I think my body has now started to be kind to the veggies and for the past 1 week I have maintained my weight at the level of P2. and yes I would also agree that ever since I started my P3, I got little careless about my water intake. Will get in on track. I have decided to give myself some time before I start my round 2. I want to start with some exercise routine before i start Round 2. will keep you posted on my progress. Thanks!

PS: would it be possible for you to share the email id of the other visitor from India? was thinking of exchanging notes and discuss how and from where stuff could be bought. you may seek their permission and share my id with the visitor. Thanks again

    Hi Colleen,

I am back again! I have started my round 2 of the diet and this time with Rx HCG (HUCOG 5000 iu). I am doing sublingual. I do hope to see better results in this round. I just had one observation… I have lost inches around my tummy and thighs but hv lost hardly any inches from my chest and arms. How do I lose inches from there? Secondly, since I hv been obese for a long time, i have ugly stretch marks. Now that im getting bk in shape, I would like to do something about them too. Any suggestions?

    Thanks, Swati

      Hi!!
it is funny how fat leaves the body. Usually the complaint is that a woman loses in her chest before the other areas she would prefer to lose like the tummy and thighs.Your arms and other areas will reduce as you go (they did for me). Your other question sounds like you are more concerned about the appearance of stretchmarks and not sagging skin, correct? There are so many products that help fade the marks now a days and I also think as long as you are on a good bath scrub regimen in time because your skin cells are constantly renewing themselves it gets harder and harder to see them. You figure once the skin is no longer being stretched the skin isn’t so “taxed” does that make sense…I hope.. Remember I’m not a doctor I can only go by experience I personally have had. I’m sure there are also laser treatments that can help too,but that I have not done.

      Keep me posted!
      Colleen

  • Swati says:

Hi… ya im not very worried about the sagging skin as i hope that it would be taken care by toning exercises. even i read abt laser surgery for stretch marks but im not in favour of that. I really do hope so!

Sorry but I have another question – I got my menses on the 4th day of the protocol (including 2 loading days). The actual protocol as i hv read says that I shud either start 10 days before or immediately after my menses. Now tht my menses started immediately after starting my HCG, should i start all over again with the loading days or should i simply resume taking my hcg?

    Thanks!

      Hi,

Sorry for the delay, I was gone for the Holiday.
I wouldn’t load again, just resume when your flow isn’t heavy anymore.

      Oh I am so sorry!
I will have to try it again and see if I run into a problem.
Maybe some will see the comment and lend a helpful hint or tip that can help us all with this issue.
